Debt Management Plan (DMP) is a formal method created by a consumer credit counseling agency for the payment of personal debts. Normally debt management plans are used to pay unsecured debts like bank overdrafts, personal loans, or credit cards. Usually debt management plans are completed within two to five years depending upon the total sum of the debts.
